119 Delaware Ave., Dayton, OH 45405
You can’t tell by the exterior, but this circa 1917 American Foursquare is pretty fabulous, especially when you factor in the $18,000 price tag. It’s set on a lovely tree-lined street of similar foursquares, and is opposite a historic, brick church with a bell tower. As with most foursquares, the rooms are open and spacious. A brick fireplace in the living room is flanked by two built-in bookcases with glass fronts, and an extraordinary set of arched French doors lead you into the side foyer. The kitchen has an arched doorway and loads of original cabinets, and the hardwood floors, trim and staircase have not been painted, which is always a plus. More built-ins are featured on the second floor, and the third floor is an unfinished attic made in heaven.
