Although Madonna was raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan, Bay City lays claim to being the city of her birth. The town is located near the base of the Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron, so there are plenty of outdoor activities here, including fishing, boating, biking and hiking. This sweet circa 1925 bungalow lies on a tree-lined street of mostly older homes. It features a great front porch, hardwood floors and some of the most beautiful original built-ins that I’ve come across in a house this size and price. Take a gander at the fabulous fireplace and those window seat boxes that open. Then mosey on into the dining room with that gorgeous built-in sideboard with leaded glass doors, mirror and shelf. Note the columned room divider with more leaded glass, and don’t miss the original paneling in the living and dining rooms. The dining room lighting fixture appears original to the house, and the four-over-one windows most certainly are.
