64 Liberty St, Liberty, NY 12754
A 1936 colonial under $50,000 in Liberty, NY. I remember stopping to grab a bite to eat at the Liberty Diner with my husband and father-in-law as we made our way to visit my brother-in-law’s family in Binghamton decades ago. As I recall the food was decent, but the windows were filmy. I give this circa 1936 Liberty three-bedroom, 1.5-bath home much better reviews. Just two hours from New York City and a couple of blocks off Route 17, the house would make a great second home. I love the arched doorways, hardwood floors, cast iron radiators, spacious sunny rooms and corner cupboards in the dining room. The kitchen is large with natural woodwork and the bathrooms aren’t bad for a house at this $46,000 price point. What really gets my heart racing is the original floor-to-ceiling kitchen cupboard. It’s a beauty!
