We lived a few blocks over from this home in the 1980s. We had actually put a deposit on a home on a $20,000 house on this street (as a rental), but backed out because of the neighborhood. Once a popular resort town on the Great South Bay, when we lived there this area of Bay Shore had seen better days since its heyday in the early 1900s. I’m so glad to see it is revitalizing. Check out the before and after photos of this bungalow on Park Avenue.
