360 Short St, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025
$49,900 Reduced to $45,900
Indiana Fixer Upper Reduced
I first featured this home in August of last year. It has now been been reduced $4,000 to $45,900, but it is a huge project and really needs to come down quite a bit more.
My husband and I have a second home, a sweet 1930 bungalow near my daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren outside of Lawrenceburg, Indiana. I was looking for something bigger, however, to hold all my treasures. When I saw this 1850 brick home in the center of downtown Lawrenceburg, a lovely historic town along the Ohio River, my interest was piqued.
The realtor did not respond with additional photos, especially of the interior, so I sent my daughter on a mission. She got permission to enter the home from her realtor who said to go at it. Here are loads of additional photos and an in-depth video of the fixer upper. Let me tell you, the basement is horror movie scary. Although the house has some great features that I love, my husband and I decided it requires just too much work for us to tackle at this stage of our lives. See what you think.
I have linked Lawrenceburg’s excellent livability score, but the “F” for employment is so very misleading. There are help wanted signs all over town. In addition, jobs are available within a 30-minute drive with major companies, including the new Amazon distribution center, Wayfair, Levis, Kellogg’s, Kroeger, IRS, Procter & Gamble, Citigroup, Toyota, DHL and Gap, to name a few.
As Per the Realtor
