I’d love to have seen this house when it was built in 1900. Several original details still remain, including the mini turret, hardwood floors, doors, transoms and fireplace mantels. That kitchen is certainly a shocker, though. I think I’d raze that whole addition. You can see an original kitchen cupboard sitting on the floor, or perhaps it’s the top half of a Hoosier? In any event, I’d start from start, incorporating that piece. That is if the rest of the house is not a tear-down special, and if the price was substantially reduced.
