Indiana Victorian Under $20,000
My husband was in Indiana last week and was supposed to have toured this home, but he decided against it. Our daughter and family live in Aurora, and we recently bought a small 1930 bungalow near her house as a second home. It’s too small, however, for our avid antique collecting, so I wanted something larger that we could restore and furnish. This circa 1903 Victorian seemed to fit the bill, until we realized it’s across the road from the less than desirable area of town. Since we would only be living there part-time, due to security reasons, our realtor strongly suggested we pass on this one.
If you plan on living here full-time or renting it out, however, this house might be well worth the price. Aurora is a lovely historic town on the Ohio River. Cincinnati is an easy commute, and there are loads of jobs in nearby Kentucky, including companies such as Levi, Wayfair and Amazon.
“This is a Fannie Mae HomePath property. Take a look at this turn-of-the-century property. Step through the carved front door into the foyer with original woodwork and staircase. On the first floor, you’ll also find a spacious living room, dining room off of the kitchen with a back stairway to the second floor and access to the first floor laundry, a bedroom and bathroom too. The second floor features two spacious bedrooms, a bathroom, family room and office. There’s a third floor walk-up attic, a full basement all on a corner double lot!” As per the realtor.
