Today I’m featuring two wrecks of the Hesperus houses under $20,000. Like Longfellow’s poem, let’s hope these homes don’t share a fate similar to the captain’s daughter, dead on the shores of time. The realtor couldn’t even be bothered writing a description for this circa 1916 fixer upper, but despite the major work involved, it still retains some wonderful original features. Exterior and interior fretwork, hardwood floors, built-ins, fireplace mantels and pillared room dividers stand proud in a tumultuous sea of debris.
