Spanish style homes in Scranton, PA, are rare, but here’s a circa 1945 cottage in a pretty neighborhood for those who admire the unique. Located on three lots opposite City Park, and with a view of the mountains, this home certainly needs work. I’d start with the roof and the exterior stucco. While the kitchen seems to have some original cupboards, it appears as if it is stuck in a space the size of a closet. That would have to be opened up to include the stone room next to it.
For me, the bright spot in the interior is the black and white bathroom. Love that tile floor!

Call me a fixer upper fanatic. My husband and I have owned and restored a 1910 Folk Victorian on Long Island, an 1880's farmhouse on 15 acres in Schoharie County, New York, and a 1915 American Foursquare in beautiful Cape May, New Jersey. We currently live part-time in Huntington Beach, California, and are working on our 1930 retirement bungalow in Indiana. Old houses touch our souls.
