Price Keeps Going Down ~ Not a Foreclosure, But at a Foreclosure Price ~ Bennington VT Victorian $39,000

135 Webb St, Bennington, VT 05201

I’ve shown you this house before, but now it has been further reduced! I’ve been keeping an eye on this house for a while now, but it was slightly over the $50,000 price point of this blog in early September, so I couldn’t feature it. Three weeks ago it was was reduced to $49,000, and now it’s down to $39,000! That’s almost half price from its original listing price of $75,000 in August.

This circa 1900 Victorian with wrap-around porch is located in Bennington, Vermont – one of my favorite towns. Granted, it’s not in the prettiest location, but it’s not half bad. I love, love, love the original kitchen cupboards of this four-bedroom, one-bath charmer. The porch has some great fretwork, and who wouldn’t want a little red barn?

“This is not a foreclosure, but it’s a foreclosure price!Bring your paint brush and some elbow grease, because this one needs some love; but once freshened up, there is so much charm in this home. Classic Victorian with a deep back yard and large detached red barn. Home has 4 bedrooms with an office and one full bath. Taking one of the bedrooms and renovating could give you that highly desirable second bath. Extra bonuses: Wrap around porch, plenty of storage in back room and attic, plus off street parking and walking distance to downtown.” From the realtor.
