1974 Painted Desert GMC Motor Home For Sale By Owner $25K

$25,000

Check out this Painted Desert GMC Motor home for sale by owner for $25k. For the 1973 and 1974 model years, GMC gave its motorhomes names based on U.S. National Parks and natural landmarks — one of which was “Painted Desert.” These names didn’t denote mechanical differences but rather interior décor themes and trim packages with specific upholstery, fabrics, and color schemes. Other early trims included Canyon Lands, Glacier, and Sequoia.

1974 GMC Painted Desert Class A Motorhome. 455 cu “Rocket” V8. 26′ long. GMC only made these RV’s from 1973 – 1978 and a total of 12,921 were made. This is the same type vehicle as in the Bill Murray Stripes movie. This RV is an original beauty. Was within the same family from the time first purchased for forty some years and had always been kept inside for storage. 7 new tires fall of 2024. 2 new 800 crank batteries with shut off switches. I have other information for serious buyers. This beauty needs a home with someone who knows how to take care of it properly and a place to store it when not in use. This RV should NOT be bought by someone who wants to gut or redo it as it is truly an original vintage vehicle. I am willing to negotiate some; however, if you plan to low-ball, don’t bother. Sold As Is – No Warranties Clean Title Serious Inquiries only please. Pick up only.
