Here is another home for which I’m glad to say that Tom Sawyer and his white paint left the neighborhood before slapping his brush on the c.1905 home’s woodwork. This home needs the least amount of work of the handyman specials featured today. You have to love the natural wood of the pocket doors, fireplace mantel and bullseye molding. Hardwood floors, wainscoting, updated bath and that amazing floor-to-ceiling kitchen cupboard also grace the home.
Although 45 S. 45th Street is in a low crime working man’s neighborhood of similar older homes in Terre Haute, Indiana, it is located just one street away from a somewhat higher crime area.
