Family History
It appears that after Frances Marion Dawdy (1854-1940) married Hattie Mae Warner (1864-1951) in 1886, the couple had this house built. The family lived here for about 50 years. Frances was a music dealer, and the couple raised their children, Charles, Arthur and Marion here. In fact, Marion’s wedding reception was held in the home in 1911. She was described as a very pretty, sweet and charming young woman.
