Family History
Dr. Robert Bigger Stewart (1879-1955) married the beautiful, and 11 years his junior, Lenora Stubbs (1890-1977) in 1912. Lenora was the older of two daughters to Kansas Governor Walter Roscoe Stubbs (1909-1913), and Robert was a surgeon at the local hospital.
The realtor’s build date of 1920 is off a bit, because the newly married couple called this place home in 1912. The couple had two daughters, Martha and Stella, but moved from the home before Stella was born.
