Family History

Bliss Eugene Oldham and his wife Lena owned this home through the 1940s. Bliss (better known as Eugene) finished school in the 10th grade and worked hard for the railroad to keep this home for his large family. The couple had five children, Jeraldine, Christine, James, Laude and Raymond. James graduated from the Naval Air Technical School in 1944, and the brown haired 19-year-old with ruddy complexion went on to be a gunner for the  Patrol Bombing Squadron during WWII.
