Family History
This property is known as “The Arnold House.” The Arnolds owned it for many years. In fact, they had a huge land holding that ran all the way to Albemarle Sound at Arnold Beach. The family left the Pea Ridge property vacant for a long time after moving elsewhere and selling off the land bit by bit. The Arnold Beach residential development along the sound being one of the larger chunks. The property was eventually left with less than a half acre and was subsequently sold out of the Arnold’s hands in 2021 for $41,000. The house is now back on the market.

I found a teenage Lillie Collins living close by this house on Pea Ridge Rd. in Skinnersville in 1920. She had a bunch of sisters which may be the other names on the wall.
