Family History
From the 1930s to the 1960s, this was the home of Kenneth G. Rowe, a lumber dealer for Hampton Lumber Company. He lived here with his wife, Dorothea Peiffer Rowe, and children, Julie Ann and Thomas. In 1959, Thomas, then age 24, was awarded the Good Conduct Medal for his service as an Army specialist with the 2nd Armored Calvary Regiment in Germany.
