Save This c.1880 New York Farmhouse on 1 Acre $29K
$29,000
The history behind this New York farmhouse on 1.05 acres is worth its weight in gold. The brick, four-bedroom, one-bath home, however, is in dire need of a savior. It looked good in the 1955 photograph, but 70 years have taken its toll on this forlorn beauty. Sorry, no inside pictures.
Sold “as is”. Over one acre corner lot in Allegany (1.05 acres). PLEASE NOTE THIS HOME IS NOT HABITABLE IN ITS CURRENT STATE! This lot has been recently surveyed. This home would require significant work to make livable and is a candidate to be demolished. At one point in time this was a beautiful home with a basement, two floors, attic, and summer kitchen. There is also a dilapidated garage-type structure next to house and remnants of a barn. There is no electric, plumbing, or sanitation (there is likely a septic on site, though likely very old.) This is a great property to demo for the lot or try to restore.

DO NOT RANDOMLY SHOW UP ON THE PROPERTY. Please text or call if interested. I live within viewing distance of this property and have cameras around the property. I don’t have to sell and won’t entertain lowball offers or general interest in the house or property. I simply don’t have the time to clean this property up and no desire to build a new house on the lot and that is why I am considering selling. It is a great plot of land at an excellent location. Family History
On September 7, 1864, thirty-five-year-old William Whitlock departed from Allegany, New York, leaving behind his wife and four children to enlist and fight in battle in the Union army. Over a century later, his unpublished letters to his wife were discovered in the attic of the family home. These letters form the basis for the book Allegany to Appomattox.
