Realtor Comments
Do not miss out on owning your piece of history in Fithian. This 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom home was owned by Dr. Fithian. You will love the large fenced-in yard, the wood-burning fireplace, and the 2.5-car detached garage. In 2023, the seller installed a 10.8-kilowatt solar system! The siding, roof, gutters, and facia on the garage were replaced in 2022. The roof on the house was installed in 2021. There is also a 16-kilowatt standby generator with a transfer switch. The windows were custom-made with a transferable lifetime warranty from Cramer Siding and Windows. To truly appreciate everything this home has to offer you need to set your private showing today! This house is being sold as-is. The buyer has to take over the monthly solar panel payments, which are around $200. Solar panels provide large savings in electricity bills every month!

History
The realtor states that Dr. William Fithian, a physician and politician (1799-1890), owned the home, but that seems unlikely when we look at the home’s build date, and the fact that Dr. Fithian’s house was on a farm a mile west of Fithian in Danville. Abraham Lincoln was reputed to have visited there several times. The town, however, was named after Fithian because he donated the land on which the town was founded. Perhaps the land on which our featured house sits was once owned by the doctor, but I doubt the house was.
