Under $100K Sunday ~ c.1885 Maine Farmhouse For Sale on 1 Rural Acre $85K SOLD
264 Long Rd, Limestone, ME 04750 $85,000 Sold for $101,000
OHU50K NOTES
This c.1885 Maine farmhouse for sale on one acre sure has curb appeal. The interior is plain, but I already have it decorated in my mind’s eye with all my antiques and the ones I am sure to collect if I had all the room this home offers.
The home is what is called a connected farm complex. Popular in New England, the typical connected farm complex consists of the “big house,” or living quarters; the “little house,” which contains the kitchen; the “back house,” traditionally a carriage or wagon house. Oftentimes a standard livestock barn was on the end of the complex. This style was banned for a while due to fire concerns, but the bans were later lifted. Our house today does not have the barn attached.

Maine farmhouse for sale on 1 acre. Do you have a large family and need space, then this one is for you. Room for everyone and in the country. This would also be great for a bed and breakfast.
