OHU50K NOTES
Now on a street with tract houses, this fixer upper foreclosure most likely was a farmhouse with some acreage when it was built in 1905. It is located 90 minutes from Atlantic Ocean beaches.
Town History
The house was built a decade after William Henry Harris requested that the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad build a railroad depot on a portion of his farm in order to create a village. His 40-acre parcel was divided into residential lots surrounding the depot in “Harristown,” with Harris retaining ownership of every other lot. The town’s name was later changed to Ayden (pop. 4,932).
