When I saw the Cobleskill zip code, my heart skipped a beat. We owned a 15-acre farmette in Cobleskill years ago, and I have to say, as I have said before, Schoharie County is arguably the most beautiful county in New York State. This fixer upper is actually about 10 miles outside of Cobleskill in the tiny hamlet of Dorloo. Cobleskill is where you’d find a hospital and shopping. As a family, we would often take a Sunday drive down Route 165 to Roseboom and Cherry Valley, then a loop to Sharon Springs, back to Cobleskill. Despite it being so close to the road, I am almost tempted to look into this one myself. Then again, we moved from the area because of the harsh winters.
