Family History
This beautiful home was built for George Campbell (1896-1976) and his wife, Mary Gabriel “Gabe” Foley Campbell (1901-1993). George and Mary were married in 1926. George graduated from Brown’s Business College and was vice president, trust officer and director of Galesburg First National Bank and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. The couple raised their daughter, Mary Patricia, in the home. The Campbell family lived in the home for at least four decades.
