Stephen was a bench hand for the Walworth Company, a valve manufacturing company. The couple shared shared the log cabin with their children Bernice, Rosella, Patricia, Loretta and Donald. Below you find the 1949 yearbook photo and description of Loretta, the youngest Forkey daughter, as well as blurb from her in an October 1949 newspaper. Good thing she was diminutive, as this log cabin appears to have low ceilings.
PROPERTY HAS NOT BEEN OCCUPIED FOR MANY YEARS. THERE IS A TOILET AND SHOWER AREA IN THE BASEMENT BUT NEITHER ARE ENCLOSED. THIS COULD BE A VERY COOL HOUSE AGAIN WITH SOME TIME, MONEY & TALENT. ITS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF THE FIVE STAR TRAIL AND VERY CONVENIENT TO ROUTE 119, 66 AND 30.
