Under $100K Sunday ~ c.1834 Virginia Fixer Upper on 6 Acres Under $90K ~ Off Market
16661 Thomas Jefferson Hwy, Pamplin, VA 23958
$89,900 ~ Off Market
OHU50K NOTES
This is a fixer upper that deserves to be on my Top Under $100K list for sure. Look at that exterior millwork! The staircase is amazing, as are the hardwood floors and vintage lighting fixtures. Add to all that architectural splendor the fact that the house sits on six acres, and I am all in.
We featured this fixer upper before back in March. It soon went under contract, but apparently the deal fell through, so it is back on the market.
You will have to love small town living to really appreciate the home. Pamplin City has a population of 219 residents. Although it was considered a center of commerce at the beginning of the 20th century, it is now a virtual ghost town. The 10 brick buildings that line downtown mostly stand vacant, and so Pamplin City was added to Preservation Virginia’s most Endangered Historic Sites.
For those who are strictly interested in homes with acreage, we have a new site up and running. Please ‘like” our Facebook page Country Life Dreams.
