c.1857 Illinois Fixer Upper Real Estate Auction Starting Bid $5K
$5,000 starting bid
Love the exterior of this Illinois fixer upper! The three-bedroom, one-bath brick home certainly has curb appeal, but the interior has been partially renovated and needs work. The curved staircase, brick fireplace, French doors and hardwood floors are great features, as is the mini tower. This is a real estate auction that closes on 12/3/2024. Starting bid is $5,000.

Family History
From the 1910s to 1954, this was the home of Walter A. Keil (1878-1954) owner of the Charles Keil and Son Hardware store, and a founder and treasurer of the Belleville Memorial Hospital Building Fund. He married Helen Huff in 1905 and a few years later purchased this home. The couple raised their daughter, Blanche, here.
