Family History
From around 1900, this was the home of the widow Minerva Ann Luckett (1837-1923). She lived here with her adult children Lizzie, Crawford and Sam, and Crawford’s wife Jimmie. The widow also ran the home as a boarding house and had two or three lodgers. Crawford was a typesetter for a printing company, and Sam was a pressman for the same company. After the death of Minerva (better known as Ann), Sam continued to live in the home with his wife and two of his adult sisters until 1943.
