OHU50K NOTES

This c.1878 fixer upper farmhouse for sale in the small town of Linneus, Maine (pop. 984), is presented by one of my favorite realtors. I don’t know them personally, but Mooers Realty always has good photos, plenty of them, and a full description of the property.

As the realtor states, this farmhouse needs plenty of work, probably too much for most of us. The potential is there, though.

Wow! I can’t believe I am seeing this! I grew up in this house 30+ years ago! So much of this house is still the same and yet so much of it has changed. It was painted pink when we lived in it and everyone knew it as “The Old Pink House”. There was a potato field across the street with a wheat field just behind it. The road along side of the field was lined with apple trees. My family was very poor, but this house always felt warm! My childhood imagination made this house and the memories of it at times seem magical!
