Family History
This was the long-time home of the Adams Family. In 1917, when Vernon Monroe Adams Sr. (1874-1941) was 46, he married 17-year-old Nell Autry Adams (1899-1999). The couple had three daughters, Mary, Helen and Coral, and a son, Vernon Jr, who died at age one. Vernon Sr. was a cattle dealer and farmer, and Nell was an accomplished seamstress. She died at age 100 in a nursing home.
