“Son of William Osborn, who was a plasterer and brickmason. Born in Laceby, Lincolnshire, England. [Dates in sources vary.] The family emigrated to the U.S.
Grocer. His grocery was in the Occidental hotel. His grocery location in 1903 was at 615 Hampshire in Quincy Illinois.
He was half of the partnership of the [Silas] Bristol & [William] Osborn lumber company. William Osborn also held stock in the Hynes Carriage company.
His marriage produced one child, Nettie, who married William Kent.
William Osborn passed away while working in his store at 615 Hampshire in Quincy Illinois. His funeral was held 27 October 1903 at St. John’s Cathedral in Quincy Illinois.” Per Find-A-Grave
