This was the home of Charles A. McGregor (1841-1920). After serving  in the Civil War, Charles married Eunice Johnson (1848-1886) in 1871. Charles was a druggist who owned C.A. McGregor & Sons drug store and gift shop, selling everything from children’s eating utensils to fine diamonds. The couple had five children, Mary, Bernice, Ellis, Lewis and Janette. Sadly, Mary died at age one in 1873, Janette passed away at age two in the home, and mother Eunice followed six months later from consumption.
