Family History
This was the home of Edward R. Falck (1852-1934). Edward married Mary Ann Kripp in 1881 in Erie, Pennsylvania, and purchased this Davenport home six years later. At that time he was a blacksmith in a carriage shop. Soon after purchasing the home, the Falck’s little daughter, Jane, passed away at two-years-old. Another baby girl died in childbirth, and Mary Ann passed away in 1911. Four years later, Edward married his second wife, Elizabeth, who was 24 years his junior. The house changed hands after Edward passed away in 1934.
