Family History
Known as the Wigman House, this Queen Anne was built in 1888 by William Henry Wigman (1869-1930), owner of Wigman Lumber. It is the last remaining example of several homes of the wealthy South Side gentry who lived in Carrick. William lived in the home with his wife Gwendolyn Posser Wigman (1873-1953), their children Dorothea and Donald and Gwendolyn’s mother.
