OHU50K NOTES
OHU50K first featured this home back in August. It has now been reduced to $35,000. I don’t know what’s going on with the rear of this handyman special, but the rest of the exterior and interior of this c.1888 home is chock full of original elements. I favor yellow houses, so I have included some paint color ideas below to jazz up the plain white exterior.

REALTOR COMMENTS
The history here! This 1888 handyman special gem still has so many of the original features intact & in impeccable condition: three sets of working pocket doors, built-in cabinets, trim, stained glass & the original hardwood floors are under the current flooring on the main level. There is so much potential here! With two front doors and two adjoining front rooms – these could be spacious living rooms or master bedrooms. The kitchen sits on the back side of the home and opens into two potential dining rooms, or a living room. The upstairs adds another two possible bedrooms, a half-bath, and open family room.
There is a full basement as well, and a back addition was started several years ago, and is ready for your finishing touches. The shingle roof was replaced in 2017, there is 100-amp electric service, and central heat & air. A 2-car detached garage sits behind the home with alley access. Both the front & back yard space has plenty of shade trees for a perfect setting.

This lovely home has been on and off the market for a while. It is one of the reasons, my husband and I are looking for a beautiful old home than needs some love and restoration. While I like modern amenities, I like the charm and character in the beautiful wood work, flooring, cabinetry. The workmanship and artistry involved in making such homes as this. I would definitely like to see this house as a possible forever home. I know it is off the market but am selfishly hopeful it has not sold.
