This one reminded me of the home my parents purchased after they became empty nesters. It was located on Historic Willow Avenue in Islip, NY. It had the same floor plan. They purchased it in 1980 for $40,000, and it’s now worth $450,000. I doubt that this New Castle home will appreciate any where near that figure in the coming years, but fixed up, it could be just as inviting as my parents’ home (shown below).
