This home was built for banker Harry A. Hammond (1854-1930) and his wife, Margaret Teeter Hammond (1855-1954). The couple had no children. Harry was the son of successful merchant, Augustus G. Hammond. William Wolf, a Galesburg, Illinois, architect is credited with the home’s design. Sometime between 1920 and 1930, the Hammonds relocated to Riverside, California
