c.1895 Michigan Fixer Upper With Owner Financing $59K
OHU50K Notes $59,000
The three bedroom, one bath Michigan fixer upper apparently has owner financing available. The home offers original details, including hardwood floors, colonnades, and wainscoting. Tom Sawyer and his can of white white were busy in this c.1895 home, but it is better than gray.

Family History
William M. Coopes (1873-1970) and his wife Lena owned this home from about 1915 until 1970. William was a printer in a newspaper office, and after retirement became a deputy sheriff. The couple lived in the home with their sons Aubyn and William.
William, a lifelong resident of Lansing, was from a pioneer family of the city, the youngest of 12 children. He served in the Spanish-American War. I wonder what The Coopes would think of their house and their city today.
