Despite its condition, this tiny church hasn’t lost its soul. Built around 1900, this is the old Bethany Baptist Church in downtown Enid, Mississippi. The only information I could find about the church is that it must have still been in use in the 1960s when Dr. John Thompson “Shine” Meek served here as a pastor. Today, the soulful building sits abandoned, left for nature to reclaim.
Located in downtown Enid, Mississippi, just a short walk from the popular Enid Depot restaurant, this unique building would be a big job to tackle, but has amazing possibilities! The historic landmark, Bethany Baptist Church, is estimated to have been built around 1900, and could become a beautiful wedding & small event venue if it were restored. (Although it would take a lot of work to make it functional, there’s a dreamer out there who could definitely make it happen!) Electricity & water on adjoining property. TVEPA fiber optic internet will soon be available! . Building being sold as-is. (The building is currently NOT safe to enter.) Need more land for a bigger venue? The adjoining property with a home (at 1021 Oakland-Enid Road) is also available! Contact your lender & your realtor today! Being sold AS-IS less
