OHU50K NOTES
Perched high on a hill in a pleasant neighborhood overlooking the mountains, this fixer upper is not a project for the faint of heart. I bet it was a beauty when it was built around the turn of century. Unfortunately, and I hope I am not too harsh here, but this might be a case study in what not to do to an old house. I used to subscribe to the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Preservation Magazine. They had a column on the very back page called Remuddling. This house might make a good candidate for that page.
I do love the realtor’s description of the stained glass accents dotted throughout the home, dancing with color when splashed with daylight. That paints a nice picture.

REALTOR COMMENTS
Fixer upper. She’s a Grande Ole Gal! Might you be the visionary to restore this 1900’s Victorian Vixen to Glory? Located in the Village of Walton, this home is perfectly perched high and dry out of the flood zone on a quarter of an acre. Details such as the banister of her cascading staircase will bring you back to a time when craftsmanship was commonplace.
There are 2 separate ample bedrooms on the second level + a main suite which is actually 2 bedrooms combined. The full bathroom has been updated. The stained glass accents dotted throughout this home, dance with color when splashed with daylight. Large eat in kitchen, formal dining room and parlor are all throw backs to a by-gone era of simplicity, when people gathered with family, friends and acquaintances just for the heck of it!
Sure she needs a little work and TLC but the efforts of rolling up your sleeves and applying a little elbow grease will be so worth it. Make an appointment to explore the possibilities of this unique home today.
