History

It has been home to many families over the decades. In the late 1930s to early 1950s, Joseph Lambert (1890-1961), a French-Canadian and widower who worked as a freight agent for the railroad station, lived here with his six children, Raymond, Lucien,  Herman, Laureanne, Alfred and Marie Theresa. After the children became adults, Mr. Lambert moved back to his hometown of Montreal.  In the 1950s the was divided into two rental apartments, plus a gift shop with handmade items was housed here.
