Save This c.1900 Four Bedroom Indiana Fixer Upper With Unpainted Woodwork Under $45K
$44,900
Four-bedroom, 1.5-bath Indiana fixer upper has an enclosed front porch and beautiful, unpainted woodwork. Love the staircase and window seat. The home also has a brick fireplace, and city water and sewer. Looks like a toilet was installed into what once was the pantry. Such a shame that this house, owned for decades by a well-known family name in American car manufacturing has come to this.

Family History
This was the home of William K. Studebaker (1875-1959). He lived here with his wife, Emilia Hillier Studebaker (1877-1970) and their children Frances, and Richard. William was the son of Henry Studebaker, one of the five brothers who founded the Studebaker. William worked for the company for 59 years as paymaster. Sadly, his son, PFC Richard Studebaker died in Germany near the end of World War II. The Studebakers owned this home for about five decades.
