Family History
This was the home of Bernard Riley Sr. (b.1853). He married Alice Kelly (1859-1927) in 1877. Born in Ireland, Bernard (aka Barney) was employed as an engineer. The couple had eight children, Katie, Mamie, Edward, Joe, Bernard Jr, Elsie, Frank and Bernadette. By 1920 Alice was a widow with five children still living in the home. After her death in 1927, the family continued to live in the home for another 10 years.
