This home was built for John Leisy (1882-1931). John married Margaret Wiesmann (1882-1966) in 1901 had the house built for his new bride. THe couple had no children. John was a successful businessman who owned a brewing company, was VP of Leisy Brothers company as well as Security State Bank of Keokuk.
