This c.1903 fixer upper sits on a half acre corner lot in historic Watertown, Ohio. Almost the whole town is part of the Watertown Historic District. You can see wonderful old photos of the town here.
One of the carpenter-builders noted above in the NRHP application for Watertown, was John Schwelkert, who may have built and detailed our featured home. He was known for his sawtooth fascia board, bracketing and decorative attic ventilation louvres, now covered by vinyl siding.
