Family History

In the 1950s to the 1970s, this was the home of Norman Russell Thompson, Sr. (1912-2005) and his wife, Mary Sutton Thompson (1915-2005). The couple died within two months of each other. They lived in the home with their only child, Norman Russell Thompson, Jr. (1940-2010). Thompson Senior owned a grocery store in town, and Thompson Junior worked at Warner Robins Air Force Base for over 30 years as a Electronic Warfare Specialist. Mary was a housewife who loved to cook. Her recipe for waffles made it into the Macon News in 1973.
