As noted above, this home was built by Dr. Samuel Jefferson Sharp (1847-1927) around 1907. He owned the house free and clear and lived there with his wife, Ella Kleiner Sharp (1859-1937) and their daughters, Mabel and Ruth.  Mabel was known for her lovely soprano singing voice.
