Built in 1909, this fixer upper schoolhouse for sale is a rusticated block building on a one acre corner rural lot. Originally, a bell tower was on the roof which has since been removed. I’ve seen old photos of the school with the bell tower still on it. The staircase has also been removed. The schoolhouse does NOT have a bedroom or bathroom despite the listing stats.

History
Built in 1909, the rusticated concrete block building was a one-room schoolhouse in Whitley County known as the Bash Hill School. A century ago small rural schools were located in relatively close proximity to each other in each township so that children would have to go too far to get to a school. Automobiles in the area were rare and most students walked or rode a horse-drawn wagon to school.
