Family History

This was the home of Charles Abrahamson (1885-1951) and his wife Eva Iola Bloomfield Abrahamson (1888-1966). The couple married in 1917 and immediately purchased this home. With an 8th grade education, Charles was a salesman at a grocery store, and Eva was a seamstress in the early years. They lived in the home with their daughter Georgana. After Georgana married and moved away, and Charles passed away in 1951, Eva continued to live in the home. In total, the Abrahamson family owned the home for almost 50 years.
