Family History

In the 1920s and 1930s, this was the home of Lawless Lee Lowry (1882-1968)  and his wife, Florence Kauter Lowry (1892-1968). The couple raised their children, Meredith, Marjorie, Lois, Charles, Elizabeth and John, in the home. Mr. Lowry was an engineer for the railroad, and he owned the house mortgage free.
