What gorgeous woodwork in this fixer upper foursquare? Coffered ceilings, amazing built-ins, plate rails, fireplaces, stunning staircase, leaded glass window, cast iron radiators…the list goes on. The floor-to-ceiling cupboard is very similar to the one in my own foursquare. Mine is not original to the house, though. My husband rescued it from a Jersey Shore tear-down belonging to the uncle of a friend of his. To make it easier to give direction where to find things to my seven kids, we named our built-ins and pieces of pieces. So when one yelled, “I can’t find the cheese slicer,” I could direct them to the left drawer in Uncle Al’s. Do any of you do the same thing?

We like that kitchen . We’d get rid of the jacuzzi, dishwasher, replaced windows, panelling & chipboard shed and deck.
Period paint colors and inside & out would work wonders.
